Troubleshooting Methods for Engaged Upper and Lower Clamping molds in Stamping Press
Discover effective techniques to disengage the upper and lower clamping molds from the slider in a stamping press. This professional guide outlines step-by-step procedures and provides tips on using clutch actuation and overload safety devices for a seamless resolution.
1) Confirm the crankshaft position, whether before or after the bottom dead center.
2) Adjust the clutch air pressure to 4-5.5kg/cm2.
3) If the motor is before the bottom dead center, reverse its connecting edge to enable rotation in the opposite direction.
4) Start the stamping machine's motor, allow the pulley to idle, and then rotate at full speed.
5) Switch the operating switch to "Inching", press the operating button multiple times to raise the slider to the top dead center position.
6) Utilize the overload safety device for disengagement (oil pressure limiting overload safety device).
7) Close the check valve in the overload device's piping to stop the oil pump.
8) Remove the bolt in front of the slider's overload safety protection device and let the oil flow away, reducing internal pressure. Secure the bolt back in place.
9) Start the punching machine's motor with the normal pulley idling and then running at full speed.
10) Switch the operation switch to "Inching" and repeatedly press the operation button if the clutch fails to drive the slider. Reset the overload switch and continue pressing the operation button until the slider reaches the top dead center position.
11) Repeat Step 10 if necessary.
12) Reset the oil pressure overload of the press.
13) Change the position of the change-over switch on the operation panel to normal. Follow the order: a) Switch the running switch to "Inching" and operate the button switch to move the slider to the top dead center position. b) After approximately one minute, the overload safety protection device will return, and the oil pump will automatically stop. c) Perform a trial rotation and proceed with normal operation.
