In order to ensure the efficient operation of a stamping machine, it is crucial to prevent the mixing of air into the oil pressure. When air is present in the oil, it hampers the full exertion of the O.L.P (Oil Pressure) function, thereby causing the pump of the machine to continue running. This can lead to various operational issues and potential damage. However, by following the correct procedures, air can be effectively removed, allowing for the optimal functioning of the machine and preventing unnecessary wear and tear.
●Air Removal Procedure:
1. Bring the Stamping Machine Slider Close to Top Dead Center:
Stop the slider of the stamping machine in close proximity to the top dead center position. This ensures that the necessary safety precautions are taken before proceeding with the air removal process.
2. Reverse the Screw of the O.L.P Oil Drain Hole:
To safely remove air from the hydraulic system, it is advisable to first ensure that the flywheel, such as the main motor, has come to a complete halt. Using an internal hexagonal Spanner, carefully reverse the screw of the oil drain hole of the O.L.P device located behind the slider, turning it half a turn. This action will initiate the discharge of oil.
3. Check the Oil Flow:
Observe the oil flow that emerges from the drain hole. Any intermittent or foamy oil indicates the presence of air within the system. Allow the oil to flow until it becomes steady and free from foam, which signifies the successful removal of air. Once this is achieved, carefully tighten the screw of the oil drain hole.
4. Completion:
The air removal process is complete.
●Hydraulic Overload Protection Device Reset:
The stamping machine is equipped with a hydraulic overload safety device incorporated within the slider. To reset this device, follow the steps outlined below:
1. Switch the Running Switch to Inching Position:
On the operation panel, locate the change-over switch and set it to the normal position. This re-establishes the operational state of the hydraulic overload safety device.
2. Operate the Button Switch to Move the Slider:
Activate the button switch to initiate the movement of the slider. Guide the slider to reach the top dead center position.
3. Waiting for Reset:
Once the slider reaches the top dead center position, patiently wait for approximately one minute for the overload safety protection device of the power press to reset itself. During this time, the oil pump will automatically stop, ensuring the safe resumption of operations.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, by diligently following the proper procedures to remove air from the hydraulic system and resetting the hydraulic overload protection device, stamping machines can operate smoothly and efficiently. These steps contribute to the longevity of the equipment and optimize its performance, resulting in enhanced productivity and reduced downtime.
