  3. Quickly install NC servo feeder on punch press in 2 steps

NC servo feeders need to be installed on the punch press in order to function properly. So, how many steps are involved in the quick installation of the servo feeder on the punch press? Generally, the installation can be divided into two steps: installation and debugging. The installation is considered complete when the debugging is finished and production can commence.


Step 1: Installation of the NC servo feeder on the punch press:


1. On one side of the punch press table, drill and tap four threaded holes according to the specified position and size of the installation plate, and fix the installation plate on it. Then, use a hoist to lift the main body of the servo feeder, align the key between the sliding plate and the installation plate, and fix the main body on the installation plate with two matching bolts.

2. When the height and horizontal position of the servo feeder do not match the punch die, the sliding plate of the servo feeder can be adjusted by about 100mm. At this time, loosen the two bolts on the sliding plate, adjust the bolts fixed on the installation plate to change the horizontal position of the feeder, and then tighten the bolts after positioning.

3. Fix the mold to ensure that the mold is perpendicular to the direction of the rollers, and install the relaxation position on the punch press slide.

4.Install the control box and proximity switch at an appropriate position on the punch press, and check if they are functioning properly.


Step 2: Adjustment after the installation of the NC servo feeder:


1. Start the straightening machine or material rack to slowly release the material. Then, adjust the positions of the two material guide wheels according to the width of the material, ensuring that it does not obstruct the movement of the material.

2. Put the relaxation handle on the platform and place the material between the upper and lower rollers. Lower the relaxation handle and loosen the fixing screws of the material thickness adjustment handle. Adjust the handle up and down to create a swinging gap of about 5mm for the relaxation bracket, and then tighten the fixing screws.

3. The pressure spring applies pressure to the upper roller to keep it in contact with the material and feed it out. The pressure should be adjusted to prevent slippage of the material, and the pressure should be increased when the material is thicker.

4. After setting the length of the servo feeder, adjust the feed speed according to the actual situation, using the appropriate method for adjustment.

5. Once the relevant parameters of the servo feeder are set, due to rounding errors, the actual length of the feeder may differ from the set value. Therefore, in manual mode, test the feeder by performing feeding tests on the punch press, adjusting its actual length accordingly.
