The 2-in-1 straightener and 3-in-1 feeder machine are the 2 most commonly used automated models in the stamping machine industry. They have similar appearances, but have significant differences in functionality, internal structure, and operation.
1. Differences in functionality:
The 2 in 1 straightener is actually a combination of a material rack and a straightener, with the functions of unwinding the coil and leveling the material. However, since it does not have a feeding function, it requires a few meters of waiting area at the discharge port to be equipped with roller feeders, NC feeders, and other feeding equipment to be used with the press. As a result, it takes up a relatively large area.
The 3-in-1 feeder machine is a combination of a material rack, straightener, and feeder, with the functions of unwinding the coil, leveling the material, and feeding. It can be directly matched with a press without the need for a waiting area, and it occupies a smaller area.
2. Differences in structure:
The material rack of the 2-in-1 straightener can be used with or without power. The pressing arm of the straightener is not equipped with a separate drive motor and is usually induction-based. The transmission of the straightener is achieved through a motor and reducer, and the machine does not have the function of vertical movement.
The material racks of the 3-in-1 feeder machine are all powered. The pressing arm of the straightener is equipped with a drive motor, and the transmission of the machine head is achieved through an imported servo motor for precise transmission. It is also equipped with an electric lifting adjustment device.
3. Differences in operation:
The 2-in-1 straightener requires manual material blocking, introduction, feeding, and material thickness adjustment. Its electrical control operation uses buttons on the electrical control box, with low integration.
The 3-in-1 feeder machine uses a material blocking arm for material blocking limit. It can achieve the full automation of the feeding process with the assistance of the pressing arm, material support arm, and folding arm. It has a precision handwheel micro-adjustment method, with high precision adjustment, and the electrical control operation uses a seven-inch touch screen, which is simple and convenient, fully realizing automation.
